Geoduck, or Gweduc, a clam found on the Pacific Coast of North America from Puget Sound to southern California. The geoduck is the largest burrowing clam. Its shell may reach a length of seven inches (18 cm) or more. The weight of the clam itself sometimes exceeds six pounds (2.7 kg). The long siphon with which the geoduck feeds on tiny marine animals cannot be pulled inside its shell. Geoducks often burrow into the sand to a depth of four feet (1.2 m). Their reddish flesh is considered a delicacy.

The Pacific geoduck is Panopea abrupta of the family Hiatellidae.
